FMM Sines – Festival Músicas do Mundo

What’s special about it: It takes place inside and in the surroundings of Sines Castle and it’s truly connected to the cultural diversity of “world music”. It won Best Cultural Programme (Portugal and Spain) in 2017 and 2018 as well as Best Major Festival in 2016 by the Iberian Festival Awards.

Zee Festival

What’s special about it: It’s the 1st Brazilian funk festival in Portugal with a mix of both Brazilian and Portuguese singers. Brazilian funk is getting hotter by the minute and this festival is definitely a recognition of that. Zee Festival has a conscious environmental motto behind it and it will take place by the sea.

Monte Verde Festival 18

What’s special about it: It happens in Azores island and pretty much for that is definitely worth it to go. It has a pretty consistent Hiphop line up this year with Portuguese rappers in addition to other type of music. It’s possible to camp there.

Vodafone Paredes de Coura

What’s special about it: With more than 25 years of existence, it’s considered one of the 5 best music festivals in Europe by Rolling Stone magazine. This 2018 edition has some big names such as: Arcade Fire, Skepta, Fleet Foxes, Pussy Riot, The Blaze, to name a few. You can camp or glamp (your pocket has the last word! 😏) in the festival area.
When: 15th to 18th August 2018

Comic Con Portugal

What’s special about it? It’s considered the “biggest Pop Culture festival in Portugal”. It covers TV & cinema, videogames, comics & literature, anime, manga, music & Youtube. They encourage you to bring your art work to the event. You can ask for an autograph from your favorite artist.
When: 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th of September 2018, from 10:00AM to 8:00PM
