Are you an outdoor nature lover who also enjoys the perks of a comfy hotel? If that’s the case, this article was made just for you. But also if you’re looking for the ultimately unique spot to host a private (and unique event). First things first: the term glamping comes from the blend between the verb camping and the word glamour. So as you can see, pretty much the best of both worlds. Glamping is perfect to fully recharge your battery from the city madness, in grand-style though. Four quick notes about the vast majority of glamping spots:

  • Surrounded by peace, quiet and nature 🍃
  • Plenty of outdoor activities to do in the surroundings 🤸
  • Pet-friendly (no more excuses to leave your pets behind 🐶)
  • Enough capacity for more than 2 people in one tent (in the majority of them) 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
  • Comfy perks such as free wi-fi, breakfast included, hot water, bed sheets and bath towels (some of them even have TV and air conditioning). 👑

Check below our curated top 19 best & wild glamping spots 🏕 in Portugal, in no particular order:

Woke up in paradise ❄️

A post shared by m (@martinhafsamorim) on

What’s special: Have you ever dreamed in sleeping inside an igloo, just like an eskimo? This is exactly like it. With the exception that from these domo tents you can almost feel you can touch the sky ✨. The rounded tents are placed on the peak of Serra da Gardunha, which is considered according to UFO (Alien spotting 👽) “specialists”, one of the best places in the world to spot “them” (make sure you tell us if you spot any). They also have local artisanal and biologic products for you to buy.
Perfect for: Besides UFO spotting 🛸, watching the sunset is simply magical, especially during summer when the jacuzzis are already placed outside. Can you imagine? Jacuzzi and sunset, what a combo 👌
Location: Serra da Gardunha in Alcongosta

#2. Astrolodge

The possibility of having a relaxed massage by the waterfalls is definitely a winner 💦

Location: Pavia in Alentejo

#4. Nomad Planet

. . . Back to Portugal less than 1 week and we are already traveling again !! This weekend we came to meet the "hotel" Nomad Planet! Their concept is funny because you are staying in Yurt (Mongolia type of dwelling), located on top of a mountain in Fiães do Rio in the Gerês National Park in northern Portugal! The park is huge (I've been several times and still have a lot to know), but it's the first time we slept in "tents" with direct contact with nature! . . . . . . #cooltipstotrip #portugal #geres #gerês #portugaldenorteasul #portugalalive #portugal_de_sonho #p3top #portugal_lovers #nomadplanet #yurt #traveler #travelblogger #travelpics #mytravelgram #blogdeviagem #blogueirosdeviagens #dicasdeviagem #brasileirosemportugal #brasileirosporai #tripadvisor #sundayvibes
